{Friday, June 22, 2007 . Breaking News!}

This announcement may just be what You ( yes you every single one of you) have been waiting for all this while. In an unprecedented move ever, the writers of the juiciest rugby blog in Singapore history has ingeniously come up with yet another ground breaking stunner that is guaranteed to rock your marbles. There is no money back guarantee though because technically you did not pay to access this site. Word has gathered fast in the journalism arena recently and has created quite a sizable buzz, with many expressing keen interest in it, so much so that it has recently overtaken Harry Potter's latest release on the "Most Anticipated" charts. What are we talking about here? It is the unveiling of the pioneer editors who by chance created the most electrifying blog in Singapore Rugby history 11 months ago.

11 months back, these 4 pioneers felt the urge to express their talents off the field, especially so when they seriously thought that the IVP gold will be safely in the bag after a series of high profile acquisitions in the summer. However, shit happens and in the mayhem that ensued, the gold was lost to bitter rivals NUS but along the way came this piece of 'gold'. Love it or hate it, these guys were a big part of your life, setting your moods and emotions on a rollercoaster ride along with their many posts ( or lack of). Currently being entrusted over to us new batch of writers upon their graduation, we are proud to be given a chance to fill the huge shoes left behind. Our number 1 aim is to shorten the link to just www.nturugbynews.com, with the kind contributions of any would be sponsors.

For the next 4 weeks, we will be unveiling the identities of the editors, one a week. You will not want to miss out on this, so keep on refreshing, keep the counter jumping for you might just be the first to catch a glimpse of this historic report. Stop Smoking, Play Rugby.

NTURugby would like to take this opportunity to pay tribute to the 06-07 Graduation Batch of players. They are:

1) Potato Thiam
2) Awesome Kiat
3) Stormy
Normy
4) Banker-Wannabe Spencer
5) China-man Adrian
6) Drug Lord Darren

Their involvement and effort put into this team is without a doubt exceptional. Their passion for the game has infused a sense of belonging and a motivational factor for younger players to play for NTU. Their efforts have brought the team to new heights and set a platform to achieve better result in the future.

As these players enter the next phase of their life, they leave behind a trail of memories deeply engraved in the hearts of current NTU players.

Yik: (Speaking with a heavy heart) I'm going to miss Stormy the most. He has been a great toilet-mate and dota-buddy who encourages and motivates me to study and play. Thanks Norm.

Fake & Real Ang-moh: We greatly believe these players have done a great job in gelling the team together. Their contributions can be seen on and off the pitch and although we hope as much they would just flunk a paper or 2, we wish the best for their future.

Salsa-King Ang: Ya, I have to agree with Yik and the 2 Ang-mohs. They have done the team proud. But not to worry, I will lead the them to greater glory in days to come.
Magician Jason: For me, I'm gonna miss my room-mate the most - Darren. He has given me superb guidance as a senior and encouraged me to shave bald. That's why we have the same hair-cut for a period of time. Cheers Darren

With that, NtuRugby wishes all 5 of them best of luck in their future endeavours and hopefully when they receive they first pay-check, they will contribute to the NTURugby Fund.

First and foremost, the new editors would like to apologize to ALL loyal fans of nturugbynews.blogspot for not keeping up with time. We are now back. Back with a vengeance.

Since the semester break, most of the ntu players have gone into hibernation. Only a few active souls are active with this season's m1 league. Our newly hired out-door correspondent caught up with a few of the players and this is what one of them have to say:

'We can't see you' - Mitran:

NtuRugby: Hi Mit, how have you been? We've heard rumours of you joining SRC season. Is that true?

Mit: ya ya. of course, SRC is the best man!. Free beer, Excellent facilities, Nice clubhouse...blah blah.

NtuRugby: (Cheap Skate). Okay, but how has it been there? still confident of this season after losing some KEY players (E.g. Stormy Normy & Sub 10 Ong)

Mit: ya ya. We are. Our team managed to pouch a number of young talents and we can't wait to showcase them soon. Top Secret for now, can't tell you who yet.

NtuRugby: Ah alright! That's good to know. However, we have had rumours that you've been skipping trainings on a particular day of the week, What can you say about that?

Mit: Ermmm.. No Comments.

NtuRugby: OH come on!! Stop being a wuss....

Mit: OKAY La! Recently, I have had an interest in dancing. So I took it up. It takes place once a week (Thurs) at St. James. Those interested, please join me there.

NtuRugby: Alright! Its good to come clean. By the way, all the best for the season and ....Dancing.

Mit: Thanks Mate !

NtuRugby would like to encourage all ntu players to join a club this season (FOR RUGBY, NOT DANCING). If you have any difficulties looking for a club - Please contact Daniel Thiam / Qing (Bedok Kings) or Ash / Mit (SRC).

- Please stay tune for more updates - Peace out -
