{Thursday, August 31, 2006 . e-rugby: Thiam Goes Philosophical}

While most rugby players would embark on a light run or gym session ahead of a huge weekend clash with their bitter rivals, NTU’s Daniel ‘Potato’ Thiam has decided to venture into the unknown of the unconscious mind, in preparation for a do-or-die mission.

Thiam was spotted attending a seminar on the research work of renowned Austrian neurologist, Sigmund Freud – otherwise known as ‘the father of psychoanalysis’. He has since, seemed to gain invaluable insight on the theory of the human mind and human behaviour.

e-rugby caught up with Thiam for a quick interview.

e-rugby: We see that you’re looking for some kind of inspiration for the game on Sat?

Thiam: Yes. The concept of the dynamic unconscious mind has helped me prepare myself mentally for the upcoming game.

e-rugby: Right. So how are you gonna prepare yourself mentally then?

Thiam: Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless, like water. Now you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water in a bottle, it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow, or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

e-rugby: Interesting. But we’ve also heard that Aaron Browne is a tough nut to crack, he possesses uncontrollable animal instinct. Any thoughts on that?

Thiam: I mean, here it is, the natural instinct; and here is control. You are to combine the two in harmony. If you have one to the extreme, you will be very unscientific. If you have another to the extreme, you become all of a sudden........ a mechanical man.

e-rugby: Very philosophical indeed. Can your local style of play handle this type of aggressive opposition?

Thiam: You see, actually, I do not believe in styles anymore. If you do not have style, you just say, well here I am, you know, as a human being, how I can express myself totally and completely. I mean, that is the expression of the human body, I mean everything. I mean, you know, not just going through the motion. And when you’re talking about total rugby as it is, well then, you better train every part of your body.

e-rugby: Wow. So rugby means a great deal to you then?

Thiam: Rugby has a very, very deep meaning, as far as my life is concerned; because as a sportsman, as a rugby player, as a human being, all these I have learnt, from the game of rugby.

e-rugby: Looks like it’ll be a cracker of a game. We’re sure the NTU SELECTORS will be keeping their eyes on this one. How are you going to express yourself in this challenging fixture?

Thiam: To me, okay, to me; ultimately, rugby means honestly expressing yourself. I mean, it is easy for me to put on a show and go through the motion but to express oneself honestly, not lying to myself. And to express myself honestly, that, my friend, is very hard to do it.

e-rugby: Alright, that was some serious psychoanalytical principles you were applying for your mental preparation. We wish you the best of luck for this weekend.

Thiam: Yes, remember; be like water, my friend.

Stormy Normy is ruled out of this week's Div 1 match between SRC and SCC.

The match between this 2 clubs is more significant than usual as it is NOT only a normal league match, it is also the annual PADANG SHIELD. Winner of this shield will walk away with nothing more than just bragging rights as the KINGS of PADANG.

Stormy was injured by ASH 2 weeks ago in a match between Kings and SRC. He is unable to summon any strength in his left hand till date. Stormy went to the gym to undergo some rehab, however he is unable to lift the lightest weights available and was mocked by some skinny china people. A distraught Stormy have this to say,

" Wah lau, I can't even do 20kg. And the China people laugh at me lor. WTF."

On the other hand, the despicable winger from SRC looks set to retain his place after injuring NTU's AWESOME in an unethical illegal tackle in the air. Lets see whether he dares to bring it against much bigger opponents.

"Thats the problem when you play against players who are not good, and thinks rugby is about hurting others. They are ruining the game. Now AWESOME will have to go thru surgery to repair his ACL. Its sad to see such players around, they are a disgrace." said a Rugby fan who wants to be known as Todd.

Other injuries updates:

Adam 'Mat Solo' Chan confirmed that he fractured his pinky (same as cliff). He will be out for a couple of weeks. Look Here--------------->

The start of the second round fixtures of the NRC would see a flurry of matches as always. But the pick of the week has to be the titanic clash between the Bedok Kings and Bucks in the premier division, in what will possibly be the title decider of the season – it’s make or break time.

Since a nail-biting loss in the season opener against Bedok, Bucks have notched up impressive wins in the league, with in-form flyhalf Todd Feather pulling the strings as a playmaker; and returning juggernaut Aaron Browne bashing through the midfield. The recently crowned cup champions of the Blacks Midnight Sevens have since made a clear statement to league leaders Bedok Kings, and the challenge is on.

The Kings, on the other hand, have continued their winning streak and remained indomitable. Their level of fitness often made the difference as they would repeatedly run the opposition ragged and open the flood gates during the last quarter of the game. The ‘pancake’ drills seemed to be an excellent driving force behind this well-conditioned side.

The decision by Bedok Kings to rest their premier division players for the Midnight Sevens has raised debate amongst the supporters, but this may well turn out to be a smart strategy as players will be well-rested and the break offers a crucial recovery period for currently injured players.

“The sevens tourney is an interesting competition but we also have to keep in mind the main focus of our season. It’s a balancing act, I’m afraid; winning the league and keeping my players injury-free is more important right now,” said Bedok boss, Tony King.

When asked about the threat posed by the Bucks backline, Kings head coach Danny ‘Tau Sa Pao’ Tauroa responded, “We can talk about their style of play and succession planning ahead of the clash. But the basic principle of the game is to win the ball and contest every breakdown situations as well as set pieces; and then you can worry about everything else.”

As for the NTU SELECTORS, they will be putting their money on the midfield tussle between Aaron Browne and NTU’s very own Daniel Thiam.

“Aaron Browne is a cross between Mark ‘The World’s Strongest Man’ Henry and Justin ‘The World’s Fastest Man’ Gatling. And Thiam is..., well, a typical local rugby player – short and stumpy.”

“It would be an interesting encounter on hand,” said the NTU SELECTORS, remaining neutral when asked on the prospects of the midfield battle.

When asked on the odds against a formidable foe, Thiam replied confidently, “I have taken him out before, I’ll take him out again. He won’t see me coming, literally.”

“It’s gonna be a tight, forward dominated game. We have to maintain a singular and ruthless state of mind. This will be a defining game for me… er… I mean us,” claimed Bedok Kings and NTU frontman, Rebel Rong.

Recent SMU target, Rongy, also believes that the game would be based on this premise. “This game may well be won by the team that dominates field position. If we can secure some decent field position through accurate and tactical kicking, we are confident that our lineouts will be strong enough to win not only our own set pieces but some of their’s as well.”

“Week in week out, we have come up with astute game plans and we’ll have one for them. These game plans will be executed to perfection, I know perfection is a tough task to ask from the lads, but it will be the benchmark for our victory,” said Tauroa.

{Tuesday, August 29, 2006 . e-rugby: Rebel Rong ready to play?}

Rebel Rong has been placed in the care of NTU's medical staff as fears the power forward would miss the NRC top of the table clash with BUCKS.

NTU officials yesterday confirmed scans showed that Rebel Rong suffered a badly sprained ankle with bone fragments at YCK on Saturday 2 weeks ago and, after further tests, he would require surgery in order to recover fully from this unfortunate injury.

It is still possible Rong may not feature against BUCKS at Turf City on Saturday.

"If Rong is unfit, he will not be release to play for the Kings. Simple as that." said NTU's Coach L Tan.

"I am OK. Theres no reason why i dun see myself set and ready to go on saturday." said Rebel Rong.

When asked why he was spotted hanging out wide on the wings instead of clearing rucks in recent matches, Rebel have this to say,

"By staying out wide, you create a channel for other players to run into. It's like a lane; if it's blocked up and people are in it, you do not make the run. Thiam spotted the lane was free - as he did on a few other occasions - and that was why he scored his tries. I'm the KEY to unlocking defences, people are afraid of me. In fact, if i recall correctly, i had a hand in all the tries the Kings scored this season."

The prospect of losing him for L Tan's first competitive games next year was a major worry,

"If Rong decides to go for Op after the NRC in november, he might not be back in time for the IVP. Thats what i'm worried about."

A NTU spokesman said Rebel Rong has bruising to the ankle but added: "There is no conclusive evidence of a fracture."

The news will be a major boost for the KINGS, who faced the prospect of having to re-jig their line-up for the BUCKS game.

Although the former ACJC player Rong will still need his fitness assessed before being given the all clear to start Saturday's clash of the titans encounter, NTU are much more relaxed about the situation now since the NTU medical team has given the all-clear.

Bedok Kings have started the season on top form, as they currently head the Premiership after winning their first 4 games. The secong half of the season starts this saturday.

But Bedok Kings' Coach TK has been only too aware his side made a similar start 12 months ago, only to see their hopes of challenging BUCKS undermined by a series of long-term injuries, which so far this year they have managed to avoid.

{Monday, August 28, 2006 . e-rugby: SMU Eyes NTU Probable - Rongy}

Despite recently convincing Dezzo to remain in SMU, the lack of strength in depth remains a concern for its rugby president, DMC, who would be eager to bring in quality players in order to bolster the current squad. And national team skipper, Rong Jingxiang, is hot on the shortlist.

DMC claimed, “Me and Rongy have been teammates in the national team for a couple of years now, even in the sevens squad as well. He has proven his credentials over the years and he’ll be a tremendous asset for us. I will definitely try my best to draw him over to SMU.”

Rongy had a series of impressive international displays during regional competitions and the national skipper has shown tantalising glimpses of his undoubted talent in the local NRC; and it is such a promise that has reportedly caught the attention of SMU.

Rongy has spoken of a desire to try his hand in one of varsity rugby’s top competition, with the likes of NTU mooted as main trackers for his signature. NTU had been chasing a concrete deal for Rongy but were still unable to agree on personal terms and his DEMANDING monetary incentives.

“We are delighted to have started negotiations with Rongy, and we hope to bring it to a successful conclusion. He’s a player of extraordinary talent,” DMC told SMU RugbyTV.

According to a photographer from the SMU Sports Union, the deal appears to be in the bag. This photographer, who wishes to remain anonymous, has captured an interesting picture of DMC and Rongy, with both displaying an intriguing pose, which seemed to signify the double A’s in an Already Agreed deal.

Signed, sealed and delivered?

{Thursday, August 24, 2006 . NATIONAL RUGBY CHAMPIONSHIPS 2006}

Report from the Singapore Rugby Union.

It is midway through the NRC season, and a well-deserved break this weekend is welcomed by all. After 4 games each in Pool B for the Division 2 League, Bucks Rugby Club is top of the table with 4 wins. The Singapore Recreation Club is second with only a loss to Bucks in the first game, and the surprise result so far is Blacks narrowly losing to Lion Red is last Friday’s very close game. In Pool A, SCC and Police will play their postponed Rd2 game this Saturday at the old Police Academy along Thomson Road at 5pm, and this game will determine who is top of the table and an easier game in the quarter-finals, as both SCC and Police have secured 3 wins each. Debutants Wolfpakz could not sustain the onslaught from the Police forward pack, and lost the last game to them.

For the Division 2 Quarter-Finals starting next week (see Schedule below), Blacks will meet whoever wins the Police v SCC game, Northern Knights are facing Bucks Rugby, Wolfpakz will pit their speed against the Singapore Recreation Club, and the Lion Red will meet the losing team of the Police v SCC matchup. Bedok Kings and Wanderers, credit to them both for putting up 2 new sides for 2006, will playoff for 9th and 10th placing on Friday 8th September, 7.30pm, at the Yio Chu Kang Stadium.

Bedok Kings and Bucks are still neck-to-neck in the Premiers, with an exciting clash the week after this bye, as Bucks host Bedok Kings at the Turf City grounds when the season resumes on 2nd September. Will it be a repeat of the first game where Bedok Kings came from behind to seal a late 20 – 17 win against the Bucks, or will Bucks re-strategise to avenge that defeat?

The ex nus hooker looked to have played his last game for NTU after spending last season on loan at Germany and then refusing to attend last year's pre-season training.

Spencer 'the tourist' Soo is now back in the NTU fold however and said: "I'm delighted to be back in training and commit my future here. I'm really looking forward to playing here again - I feel like a new signing. Its been a while since i last played in any competitive games, i am very happy to be back in training with the boys."

"It feels like I've been reborn and I'm hoping to play here for a few years to come. The fans here have always been great to me and hopefully I will do the business again for them."

"But as soon as I knew NTU wanted me to be in the squad for the upcoming IVP, I was more than willing to commit myself to this team because I've had good times here and I'm hoping for better times to come."

Spencer 'the tourist' Soo spent '04 season with NUS before completing his controversy move to NTU. He starred in an unfamilar role at half back for the NTU and was unfortunate not win it for the '04 champions in'05. After going into exile during the '05 season, he is now back, looking fitter and sharper. Coach Tan confirms that he will be reverted back to his best position at Hooker.

On behalf of the team, we would like to welcome Spencer back.

{Monday, August 21, 2006 . NTU Starlet Series 1 - Gabriel 'Stickman' Loi}

In the first of our many press conferences with the new faces of NTU Rugby, the editors of Rugby-net are pleased to bring to the fans a promising young man by the name of Gabriel 'Stickman' Loi.

For seniors, the nickname Stickman immediately brings to mind a legendary NTU scrumhalf who spent his final year limping around the sidelines giving support to the team. The love for this team was so great that he sacrificed 2 knee ligaments in a bid to win NTU the ivp gold. Gabriel is coincidentally a scrumhalf, and more rightfully the owner of this coveted nickname, as he is more stickman than the original stickman himself.

Previously a pedigree ACS(i) player, young Gabriel showed great promise early on his fledgling career where he dazzled with skills learnt from this Made in Singapore Rugby Factory. As we know about the mishaps in production lines, young Gabriel was late when they were handing out balls and he soon developed a phobia for big things that moved fast. He made a switch to a less dangerous sport, Baseball. He soon recovered from this and was made the CJC captain, underlining his talent for the sport.

Now currently in NTU Accountancy, Gabriel has proved irresistable to guys and girls alike, having had to fend off frenzied females hanging out in his Hall 7 room desperately trying to get him to bed. Most recently, Gabriel also had to endure the advances of gays who cant stop stroking his shoulders and chest in the gym.

" I saw Gabriel enjoying himself with this girl in the bash for freshies in school. And i can safely say I saw her manhandling his member, although i guess she probably needed to use onli 2 fingers. He was obviously pleasantly enjoying it." said an eyewitness who requested to remain anonymous.

" I remember him from my JC days. I used to think he was gay as he looked so puny from far. Now i know he is a gay magnet, maybe Bryanboy Yik will like to check him out some time" said Kevin, better known as TZE the pretty boy's room mate.

Regardless of his antics off the field, Gabriel shows promise in picking up from where Joel 'the original stickman' Jiang left off and the editors hope that Gabriel continues to train hard and realise his full potential. We also appeal for kind hearted readers to recommend a gym without gays so that the poor boy can pump his muscles in peace.

Name: Gabriel Loi
Position: Scrumhalf
Course: Business
Address: Hall 7 Block 38

e-rugby recently spoke with TZE and he shared his inspirational story with us - and why he's not just a rugby player.

At eighteen, Tze Shien 'the pretty boy' dreamt of success. 3 years later, he will embark on a career, which would put him on the road to greatness, and all the success he can manage. Indeed, at 21, TZE, with requisite good looks and charisma, decided to take the Hall Pagent by storm and has since been in high demand in this extremely competitive industry.

TZE's looks and talent have also allowed him the opportunity to feature on magazines. Of course, being a model, TZE has appeared in numerous publications, and has featured on the cover of 'I'm so good-looking' Magazine, FSM (For shemale Magazine), and Men's Nuts Exercise.

Not one to be complacent, TZE also dances professionally (@ hall bash) and is a motivational speaker (ex TP capt). Perhaps what TZE is most proud of is the impact he has on the lives of the many people he has helped as a CAPT and by being a role model for the public.

TZE’s personality came through loud and clear even from the first question e-rugby put to him, asking him, basically – what he wanted to be.

“As a kid I never so much had dreams or desires. I still do not know what I ‘will be’. But I do know who I am. I am willing to take chances and I am not ashamed to get my hands dirty in order to experience or learn life’s ways."

“From a very young age I have felt a certain responsibility to live up to the gifts I have been given … one of those gifts I consider to be my very unique family lineage." Modelling, for TZE, was one way to showcase his talent.

When asked about the “up and high” side of being a supermodel, TZE immediately pinpoints, “The high is the world education. Travelling the world (in NTU) well beyond your means and associating with truly great – even genius – talent from all over (hall one). Fashion and photography require no interpretation, so the entire world is able to enjoy what these mediums have to say simultaneously.”

Despite a modelling career in the making, TZE remains down to earth.

"I understand wanting an autograph – I have asked for them myself. Therefore, any fans, can juz make their way to hall one blk 18 lvl 2-268 and ask for one."

For a guy barely in his twenties, it’s a nice surprise that this lad is an approachable and sweet guy. With beauty and brains in equal measure – along with an integrity and honesty not often found in the entertainment industry – you get the feeling that what you’ve seen so far is just the beginning of a long and successful road for this chameleon-like man of many talents.

TZE still pushes for more. But then again, he always will – he expects no less of himself than the best, and is always learning.

The guy puts the “super” in supermodel, for sure.

You can catch TZE's past photo shoots by clicking here.

Last by not least, Tze have these to say...

"I always encourage people to follow their dreams."

"I believe we are all here for a purpose, and we should all help each other find that purpose."

{Sunday, August 20, 2006 . Rugby-Net: NTU Injury Updates}

In a heated battle at YCK yesterday, the 20 people strong crowd witness a serious of unfortunate injuries to NTU players.

Here is a breakdown on their injuries...

Adam 'Mat solo' Chan: Make a hit up into a pack of hungry (NUS) forwards, and was viciously rucked repeated underneath the ruck. However, i must admit that Mat Solo was definitely playing ball on the ground. His injury- suspected fracture on his pinky.

AWESOME Kiat: Produced an excellent display on the wing for Bedok Kings, constantly a menace to the SRC backs. He was taken out in the air but the no. 11 winger from SRC. ( farker, who dunno how to play rugby and juz hope to destroy somebody's life, doesnt derserve to be playing rugby at all ). AWESOME tried to shake off the pain and decided to play on. Minutes later, his knee buckled after trying to step thru a strong SRC backline defence. His injury-suspected ACL damage.

Stormy Normy: Was hardworking in defence, trying to catch bedok's winger. he was going to make the tackle but ASH came in to help but acidentally flew into his elbow. The elbow 'popped' out and went back into the socket. Unable to withstand the pain, he was eventually sub out.

Ash (name too long to type): Make several try saving tackles and was covering everywhere on the pitch. However, he sprained his back while making another tackle late in the game. His injury- a sprained back, should be alrite as he took part in the new balance run today.

Undroppable Qing: Was producing yet another excellent performance for the kings. Last week, he earned a call up to the premier side. This week he continued his fine form and saved the kings from a 4th defeat but making a tryline tackle on ex ntu capt Ah lian. A good hit by SMU's no. 8 wounded Qing and left him with a dead leg.

Cliffy: An obvious improvement in his match fitness but was unlucky as he fell on his own pinky and broke it. I guess he better try to lose some weight. We definitely do not want to see him crushing any of his bones anymore.

We wish all of them a speedy recovery. Coach Tan was unable to be contacted for comments. Keep checking NTU Rugby News for all the lastest updates.

Yio Chu Kang Stadium turned out to be one bloody battlefield as the most anticipated match in the Division One clash between Bedok Kings and SRC was played out to the countless tune of "Ref!! Man Down!"

NTU was well represented on both sides by current players Daniel Huang, Norman Sin, Aminurashid, Emery Ong and alumnis Cliffy, Raphael, Aaron Kong and Ah Lian playing for SRC. Plying their trade over at Bedok Kings are backline runners Qing, Chong Kiat and Adam Chan. The very local SRC side also consisted of a distinctively NUS-flavoured forward pack and any games that involves NTU and NUS players will surely be an explosive encounter.

An intense 1st half saw both teams displaying aggressive attacking rugby, but the final glory went to the Bedok Kings side with the scoreline at 22-14 thanks to a converted try resulting from an interception by Kings flyhalf, Steve Thirgood.

Although the game was expected to be a keen one, what stood out most was the frequency at which most of the NTU boys were getting injured. Speculations about the reasons for this unfortunate situation point only to one place..............
Kent Ridge.

Is this all part of a grand NUS scheme (see NTU Flanker injured) to retain the IVP title? Are they really that desperate? Will we see more of this dastardly tactics? Will the NTU players in SRC finally see the big picture and join the rest of the crew at Bedok?

For answers to these questions, stay tuned to nturugbynews.
You know you want to...

Injured List:
Kiat - sprained knee (high tackle)
Norman - strained arm
Daniel Huang - head injury (aggravated training bust-up)
Ash - lower back sprain
Cliff - stomach problem (probably just very hungry)
Adam - bruised hand

{Saturday, August 19, 2006 . e-rugby: SMU slam the door on NTU ( and other updates)}

SMU lastest: Singapore — IVP title contender SMU have declared Dezzo 'i'm F***** up" Wee not for sale and told Rugby giant NTU to end their bid for the singapore winger immediately.

SMU issued a statement this morning thru a telephone call from KL, just hours after NTU coach Lincoln Tan confirmed his interest in Dezzo and expected a deal to be possibly completed on the weekend.

“SMU have told their player Dezzo and his advisor that his current contract until 2008, has to be fulfilled.”

SMU Rugby President DMC said. “SMU today told NTU to stop tapping Dezzo.”

DMC added that Dezzo was “an important player” and that no official talks had been held with NTU.

NUS lastest:
Jonno "you know wat" Chen fears NUS may not be ready for theIVP kick-off as they prepare to bid for a hat-trick of titles.

A position left vacant by Jonno and the champions appear no closer to signing Mark Lee, they are definitely left with alot of work to do.

Reliable sources revealed that NUS is still unable to secure a coach at the moment. There is a chinese saying, "蛇无头, 不爬" (a snake cannot crawl without its head). Will this cause an impact to NUS's preparation to the upcoming IVP season?

NTU lastest: 10 new faces

Last wednesday, NTU unveiled 10 new players to the team. NTU SELECTORS were very pleased with what they saw.

"Its great! almost all of them had played in the IVP before and a few of them are from one of the top rugby JCs. A couple of skillful forwards and speedy backs. We are very very encouraged."

e-rugby reporters can only catch a glimpse of the new signings from afar. However, a detail write up on the players will be coming up soon.

Injuries:
  • "YongYao by day, JED by night" twisted his knee during a floorball match. He will be unable to participate with the pre-season fitness trainings conducted by Arjun "show it" Pandey.
  • WeiQiang "Ku ku Jiao" will be out for the season due to a serious injury to his knee during lessons in NIE. ON behalf of the team, we wish him a speedy recovery and will be expecting him to keep himself fit enough to come down to support the team this coming season (eg, running in the water?)
  • Daniel Huang is out longer than expected due to a cut at the side of his head many many many weeks ago. He is slowly coming back from this serious injury and will represent SRC during the weekend against the KINGS.
  • BryanBoy YIK is suffering from a serious illness.... Dota-te-litis. Medical cure for such illness is still unknown. Symptoms are, excessive gamings and oblivious to whats going on around him, not responsive to people calling him. Lets just observe a moment to pray for this small kid.
  • New signing TZE is still suffering from a knee injury but is currently on rehab by doing modelling. After a few sessions of catwalks, he should be ready for the season.
  • Jason " there is none above the law" or more commonly known as "Rainman" is currently under going a change in his life. Rumors has it that he is cutting down on mahjongs, dota and other activies. Probably found a new LOVE in life. This diease is call LOVESICK. We hope he recovers and hit the field with some ball catching sessions.

{Friday, August 18, 2006 . e-rugby: Boss "hopeful" over Dezzo}

Lincoln Tan is "hopeful" of tying up a deal to bring Dezzo "i'm F***** up" Wee to Boon Lay in the next few days.

The NTU's boss revealed that the school have been in negoiations for Dezzo's services for the past few days. And, according to the boss, the school are closing in on an agreement.

"You can never be confident but we are hopeful," revealed L Tan at his pre-match press conference with e-rugbyTV.

"We have been trying to negotiate with SMU for quite a while now, but it's hit a bit of a deadlock."

"Nevertheless, the boy has said he would like to join NTU and we would like to have him here."

"We are dealing with a big uni like SMU, but the relationship between the two schools has always been good."

L Tan highlighted the Spore international's maturity in the centre position as one of the main reasons behind NTU's interest.

"We've always known about Dezzo," declared the boss. "At 22, he's at a good age to come to a big school like NTU. Potato Thiam will be leaving NTU after this season, it will be a perfect replacement."

"NTU and he would fit in with the structure of our rugby team in terms of age." said Thiam

"He's played against us a couple of times over the years. In one match he was out on the right wing, and in the next one he played at centre." Thiam recalled.

"So he's played in a variety of positions but he's now got a settled position which he enjoys. You can see how he's matured into that role and his performances for Bedok Kings at the NRC league emphasised that." said L Tan

SMU Star Amos "the refresher" is unhappy with powerhouse NTU in their pursuit of SMU's winger/centre Dezzo "i'm F***** up" Wee.

The Boon Lay giants have been tracking the 22-year-old during the on-going 'module bidding' saga and the former ACJC Winger has regularly expressed his desire to move to Boon Lay.

He did not play in SMU's recent tour to KL in the Uni 7s and it seemed he was set for a move to the NTU Hall 1.

But a deal has yet to be struck and Amos has grown increasingly frustrated with NTU's approaches.

He said: "NTU create unrest everywhere. You see the same situation with Mark "Mr Biceps" Lee a few weeks ago and you see the same situation here. They come up with nothing. They just destabilise the players and that is why I am not very happy."

SMU Rugby President DMC looks set to plan for life without wantaway Winger Dezzo when he names his side for the preparation of the IVP season.

The future of the Spore Winger seems certain to lie away from the central of Singapore, although talks over a move to NTU appear deadlocked over his personal issues.

Dezzo's controversial book is also due to be launched in a fortnight's time - a publication which has brought him into conflict with SMU after criticising the School over the 'Module-Bidding' saga.

Dezzo however, issued a statement, "I maintain I have no problem with the fans and the Team: they have both been very supportive of me throughout my career, in particular I hope the fans understand where my grievances lie."

DMC also admitted that he is willing to work with Dezzo again if no agreement can be made over a transfer.

He told SMUrugbyTV Online: "If he doesn't go, of course he's a great player. He has permission to go somewhere if he wants to do it, but if there is not an opportunity for him and NTU, he will stay at SMU."

DMC insisted that a hasty conclusion to the Dezzo saga was of paramount importance both to the player and his team.

With the remaining Division 2, round 1 matches completed last weekend, this week's focus will be on the Division 1 and Premier league fixtures.
Main highlight of the weekend will be the very much anticipated clash between SRC and Bedok Kings. Representing the Kings, we'll have current NTU players AWESOME Kiat, Undroppable Qing and Adam "Mat Solo" Chan. The boys from the Padang will comprise of current stars - Stormy Normy, Aminurashid "who runs faster than you can say his name" and Emery "Sub 10" Ong. Furthermore, SRC side will also have a few NTU veterens who are worth mentioning or otherwise fun to watch. They are Cliff "when's dinner?" Yap, Former captains, Prop/center Aaron Kong and Tan Lian Teck aka Ah Lian.
With so many NTU boys in action, it will definitely be a match to watch for the NTU selectors. Will be Stormy Normy lead the Boys from the Padang to victory or will the 2 weeks that he was AWOL from training come back to haunt him? Will Adam "Mat Solo" Chan continue his hat-trick scoring form from last week and lead Kings to their first win of the season? Catch the match Live at YCK stadium at 1700(GMT +08:00)hrs.
Lastly not forgetting our NTU star, Daniel "Potato" Thiam, who will be playing in a late kick-off match against SAFSA at 1900(GMT +08:00)hrs. His fine form at Flyhalf for the Kings has indeed impressed the NTU selectors lately. When asked about his pre match preparations, a serious Thiam replied "i will eat until i feel bloated. If not bloated, no count!"
Stay tune for our weekend review!

Following the footsteps of NTU legends Superman Li and Raphael 'Mr Singapore' Yang in being lured to the world of quick bucks, ass poking and glamourous lights, young starlet TZE has made a bang in the pageant world catwalking down the centre stage, two short weeks into his NTU life.

Just 2 evenings ago, TZE demonstrated just how suited he is for this cut-throat and bitchy industry when he displayed an all-rounded display of primadonna-ness by snubbing the NTU selectors when invited to showcase his skills in a touch rugby selection match. Word's gone out that he preferred an option to go for a fitting session to find the perfect suit and tie to charm the chicks...hopefully with no dicks.

In all eagerness to prove his worth to his pageant co-ordinators, TZE ' I must sleep before midnight' even practised strumming his guitar and polishing up his singing skills into the wee hours of the morn. Also, he can be seen doing push ups and lifting weights so as to pump up his chest to fill out the suit. These days, the bus stop opposite the Hall 1 rugby corridor has been crowded with guys and girls alike hoping to catch a glimpse of TZE parading around topless. They gush over every shoulder press attempted by the pretty boy, even Bryanboy Yik was seen giggling happily in a corner with his hands busy in his pockets.

Last night, TZE set Butter Factory on fire where he shined in the cat-walk segment and even summoned up a few award winning poses that melted every camera around. TZE is definitely staking a serious claim to the "Hall King" title and eagerly awaits to parade around in the sash.

Replying to a post interview with Rugby-net, TZE said "This is definitely an enriching experience. Tonight's preview was a piece of cake as I only had to do an introduction, pose and play some games. The actual event next week is the tough one and I will be hoping to go all out to crush my opposition."

Rugby-net, "Well the consolation is that you still talk like an NTU rugger wanting to big hit and crush all those NUS and SMU boys"

TZE, "Oh... no,Rugby is not my thing now. I am taking a year's break to ermm...heal my injured knee. Sorry got to rush off for another cat-walk training. Cya guys"

What knee injury? The last Rugby-net saw, he was definitely not limping during the cat-walk. Although NTU is probably resigned to losing one of their starlets to the modelling world, at least we can proudly say that we have a steady stream of handsome boys to rival NUS' KFC commercial star! Well done TZE!!Maybe he will follow in Flin's footsteps in joining the NTU Cheerleading team ACES (yes its true), but thats another story altogether....

Due to the copyright issues, we are unable to publish TZE's picture. There is some legal issues to settle between his pagent asisstant- Darren "Brother Love" Hoe and Rugby-NetTV.

"TZE is a talented player. Too bad his passion lies in modelling instead. Well... its a common trend in NTU anyway where talented Ruggers choose to venture into something new, more glamourous, more exciting, girls-getting events. We lost Superman Li and Mr. Spore Ralf for a while last season, hopefully we will not lose TZE. On behalf of the Team, we would like to wish him all the best in the upcoming pagent. I will be keeping a close eye on him. And maybe we might even chill out together sometime. Or we can play gamecube or drink 6 packs of beers or BRO-out. Thats Cool." Chad eagerly responded. {Thursday, August 17, 2006 . Rugby-Net: NTU SELECTORS Confirm Interest in Wee}

After the late-breaking revelation from e-rugby, The NTU SELECTORS have confirmed that they are looking to secure the services of SMU centre, Dezzo ‘I’m F**** up’ Wee, as a long term replacement for soon-departing ex-skipper, Daniel ‘Potato’ Thiam. Despite being tied to SMU until late 2009, Wee will have little choice but to leave should the ‘module bidding’ saga fail to work out in his favour.

“We have been working determinedly to recruit players that would give us strength and depth in key positions, and Wee certainly fits the bill. He’s a skilful player who isn’t afraid to back himself, which is something we’re always on the lookout for,” NTU SELECTORS said today.

When asked on this, Thiam responded, “Competition brings the best out of everyone, and with recent performers like Mat Solo, Ash and Emery already with the team, I’m sure we will push each other all the way.”

The NTU SELECTORS have revealed that Thiam and Wee would be given equal opportunity to push for the No.13 jersey next year, should the transfer be successful.

This, however, do leave some uncertainty as to who the future flyhalf would be.

“He is having an outstanding NRC season, where he consistently breaks the advantage line and is often a threat with ball in hand. He will add real class and firepower to our backline,” said recent NTU acquisition, Rebel Rong.

“We are in the process of nutting out a deal now, I think there’s now a realistic chance he’s coming over. He is only 22 years of age; he is at his prime and will be integral to the continued development of NTU rugby,” claimed the NTU SELECTORS.

Dezzo "i'm F***** up" Wee has reiterated his desire to leave SMU, according to reports by SMUrugbyTV.

The 22-year-old Spore international has 3 years remaining on his SMU study contract but has shown no interest in fulfilling his contract at SMU. Reason might be due to the inability of securing modules for his upcoming semester. ( refer to previous post)

He did not travel with SMU's recent tour of KL and was absent for several trainings.

Speaking after scoring for his leisure soccer team on sunday evening, Dezzo said: 'I still want to leave SMU.'

He added on the L'GayBoy website 'I hope things will get sorted out fast but it does not prevent me from playing.'

'Do I feel that i'm f***** up? Yes and no. My team-mates help me feel fine during training and constantly assure me that everything is gonna be alright. If i'm gonna get stuck in this situation, i will QUIT SMU and sign a full time contract with L'GayBoy magazine.'

Earlier this week, SMU Rugby President DMC and Amos 'refresher' insisted that the team expected him to honour his contract.

With the speculation of Dezzo quiting the SMU, NTU might do a cheeky bid for the young star. Of course, NUS will also be keeping a lookout on the SMU scandal at the moment.

'We are trying to come up with something that might bring Dezzo over to NTU. We will monitor the situation. Thats all i can say at the moment.' NTU Rugby President said.

{Tuesday, August 15, 2006 . SMU Invasion!!!}

The following article is proudly brought to you by SMUrugbytv

SMU are not just here to make the numbers

In a recent heated debate among the IVP teams. Veteran participating teams such as NUS and NTU have already made early dismissal of SMU being a formidable force in the upcoming IVPs. An IVP Fan told SMUrugbytv,

“ Do you know why SMU is in the IVP? Cause there is 1st, 2nd and 3rd. So we needed another team to take a 3rd place and that’s what SMU is there for!”

Upon these words, SMU’s Rugby President, DMC replied in diplomatic fashion, “We clearly lacked in quantity of players, in fact we be lucky to even be able to form a 15 a side team. However, we’ll probably give the other teams something to think about should they face us in a game of 7s. We will rape them.”

It’s true.

During a private combined NUS-SMU 7s training, an undisclosed fan on the training ground was heard commenting on the quality of the SMU players.

“ Even though there are only 5 SMU players at training today, the level of representation by them are all at LEAST at the National Under 19 level. With most of them mainly having been featured in the Singapore 7s squad in one point of time in their careers.”

When approached by SMUrugbytv to tip their chances for the crown of IVP championships, SMU players, were contend to just shrugged their shoulders and say “So exactly when are we going to start training? How about we start cardio sessions on Wednesday nights? Let NTU and NUS sign whoever they want... we simply don't care.”

With a team boasting of only two quality forwards, namely Lionel “robber” Poh(--> the guy who tackled NTU's THIAM last season and made him said 'wat the f*** was that?') and the President himself DMC (the man who single handedly tackled every nus players and eventually injured himself). The weight of responsibility of the forward pack will definitely lie heavily on their two shoulders.

While the wealth of talent at the disposal of the SMU back line, are causing a real headache for the SMU SELECTORS.

On the latest news in the transfer market, rumor has it that Desmond “I’m F***** up” Wee might be missing a season due to personal problems and might look to leave SMU. The star player was uncontactable during press time. A close friend of Wee has disclosed that this move might be due to the inability by the “I’m F***** up” Wee to secure 4/5 modules during his time of bidding. So far the man has only successfully bidded for 1 module from a potential of 4 to 5. Indeed the man has lived up to his name. Meanwhile SMU can only keeps their fingers crossed as the stars’ future hang in the balance. On even later news, the star player has pulled out from the secret 7s tournament due to a knee injury sustained while playing football. Now you understand the headaches the SMU SELECTORS experience.

Can SMU still be a force without the Wee? Or can SMU still form a team?

Div 2 – Bedok v Police (15-44)

Police Too Strong For Bedok

Police recorded an emphatic victory to make it a whitewash for Bedok in their Div 2 campaign.

A lacklustre first half performance saw a disappointing Bedok side overwhelmed by a rugged and robust Police team. The error-count registered at an alarming rate and soft tries were conceded as the youthful Bedok side found themselves stretched yet again.

The ‘always drunk’ referee was intoxicated once again as he continued to astound the players and supporters with dubious calls for every minor indiscretion, creating a frustrating stop-start nature to the listless game.

Despite an uninspiring first half, Bedok turned the screw in the second half with a hat-trick of tries from Adam ‘Mat Solo’ Chan. His first try was a result of a chip-and-chase, and his second breakthrough coming from a similar fashion. Adam sealed his hat-trick after muscling through tackles before burrowing across the line for the try after a neat blindside attack. Despite this impressive individual effort, it could not disguise the fact that Bedok was outmatched and outplayed.

“The young Bedok boys can still reflect on an encouraging tournament, despite the heavy losses. We should always remain optimistic and I hope they have gained invaluable experience this season.” said Mat Solo.

Div 1 – Bedok v Wanderers (0-19)

Wanderers Extend Bedok’s Misery

Bedok was eager to end a losing streak and were encouraged by a couple of early let offs. The Kings played more assuredly during a tense opening and enjoyed a good deal of possession but were unfortunate not to convert possession into points. The Bedok lineouts were jittery at times and it spurned certain attacking opportunities. The backs, for all their endeavour, blew too many first-half chances as well.

Trailing by just a try at the interval, Bedok threw everything at their opposition but the defence stayed watertight. The Wanderers continued to keep Bedok at bay with an impressive defensive effort. Any promising raids and counterattacks were snuffed out with a vigilant drift defence from the Wanderers backline.

When Wanderers scored their third try against the run of play in the second half, the die was cast for the Bedok side who had been combative but limited. Despite late charges, they just couldn’t nail the final movement and were stopped short many times with the try line beckoning.

Premier – Bedok v Wanderers (28-5)

Bedok’s Class Emerges in Unbeaten Run

The cream, as they say, eventually floats to the top and Bedok Kings proved the old adage as the reigning cup champions maintained a perfect start to their season, remaining undefeated in the first four rounds of the NRC. They have since established themselves as serious contenders for the league title.

The first half was more of an even affair, with Bedok holding on to a slim lead from a converted penalty try. Although the Bedok scrum was disrupted and out muscled by a heavier Wanderers pack, their tigerish defence and committed tackling kept them competitive as they slowly asserted their authority.

Bedok eventually ground down Wanderers, who were willing combatants in the first half, but failed to contain Bedok after the interval. The youthful Wanderers backline had little answer to the attacking flair of their counterparts. The superior speed of the Bedok outside backs was clinical and explosive as they ran rampant from broken play in the second half.

Daniel Thiam continued to direct traffic at flyhalf and sent a stern message to the NTU SELECTORS as he collected a try himself, despite having numbers out wide.

“Selfish sia… 4 on 1 situation still go himself…” claimed ANONYMOUS.

“In that first half, there was a lot of effort but the precision wasn’t there. I’m just thankful we got the win and the bonus point.” quoted 警察叔叔.

{Friday, August 11, 2006 . NRC Weekend Preview}

Division 2 kicks off tonight with SRC meeting Wanderers at YCK stadium. The SRC div 2 side will be well represented by current player, Emery "Sub 10" Ong and NTU veterens such as Joel "Stickman" Jiang and Aaron Kong (Ex Capt). Sources have tipped that Cliff Yap will also be named on the bench to provide cover for the wingers.
Saturday's games will begin with a Division 2 clash between Bedok Kings and Police SA. Adam "Mat Solo" Chan will be leading the Bedok backline in his flyhalf position once again. This may be the last and the best chance for "Mat Solo" to display his flair and bring his team to victory.
In another Division 2 match over at the CCAB, SCC takes on Wolfpackz. Bryanboy Yik will be looking to score with Arj... i mean to score once again and maintain SCC's undefeated run.

In Division 1 fixtures, a Padang derby between SRC and SCC will kick off at 1500hrs. SRC squad will be missing out on key players namely Stormy Normy and Star Flanker Daniel Huang. Stormy Normy was unreachable at press time but rumours have said that he is still not back from Bangkok and is not planning to do so anytime soon. Star Daniel Huang refused to disclose much info to our reporters only to quote "i wont be around.....". But latest wing sensation winger who "can run faster than you can say his name" - Aminurashid will once again do NTU proud on the field.
Not forgetting, Veteren Cliff Yap will most probably get the nod to start as prop just because he is the heaviest forward available. Will he be the impact player he was or will he be covering the open winger once again? We shall see...
Second game at YCK stadium will see NTU boys - Awesome Kiat and Undroppable Qing starting in the match between Bedok Kings and Wanderers. Sadly for the fans, Arjun "Show it" Pandey will not be appearing in this fixture. But the good news is that you can try catching him "showing it" at NTU in Bryanboy Yik's room..(ooopps too much details)

Premier actions sees Bedok Kings coming up against Wanderers. With Daniel "Potato" Thiam leading the Bedok's speedy backline at number 10, he will definitely have to impress the NTU selectors who will be present. Inside sources tipped that the selectors already have a Flyhalf in mind. This must have spurred both Adam "Mat Solo" Chan and Daniel "Potato" Thiam to work even harder this weekend. Thiam began his "Eat till you drop" training program where as Chan was spotted playing touch with his "mixed" team.

Beware of the 'Bro'. Looking at this recent criminal trend in America, it will not be surprising to find that these horrendous crimes to brothas will also find its way to Singapore sooner, or later.

Especially for all the new transfer signings, please be wary of supposedly harmless invitations to chill, hang-out or relax one corner.

{Thursday, August 10, 2006 . e-rugby: NUS 'tapping-up' row}

NTU chairman of Rugby team has reported NUS to the IVPRA (IVP Rugby Assoc.) for allegedly tapping-up NTU's coach Lincoln Tan. NTU Rugby insists they have no agenda other than the truth and honour of rugby.

NTU rugby is calling on the authorities to impose that a three point penalty, and 1 walk over for the coming IVP championship. Something must be done to stop NUS bulldozing the market with underhand methods.

Witnesses reported that they saw NUS star Winger Jonno "i'm not gay but blah blah blah" Chen trying to get the highly respect coach ( a.k.a L Tan) to sign for NUS instead. He pointed out the fact that NUS has more talents and has a much bigger squad than NTU (showing his 10 inch biceps). L Tan was uncontactable regarding this shocking piece of 'tapping up' row.

"NTU is a strong team. I understand that there are gays...erm.. i mean guys out there who will try everything to weaken our team. But we have absolute faith in L Tan and are not concern at all." -ex capt Thiam

New signing Rebel Rong was extremely furious with this piece of news.

"How can Jonny do that? We are so close, like brothers, like ... erm.. ya... he is too much lar. Dun friend him anymore."

{Wednesday, August 09, 2006 . e-rugby: SMU words of war}

Mark "Mr. Biceps" Lee declared last week that he wants to do a masters with NTU or NUS leading the chase for the star prop.

The Spore International star's future has been the subject of intense speculation all summer with the two universities chasing his signature.

Rumours seems to imply that SMU is unhappy that the 2 universities are trying to persuade the player pursue his masters degree. Recognising the fact that by signing Mr. B, winning the IVP championship for SMU will be too big of a task for them. Supporting only a Strong set of 15 players, SMU is clearly lacking in firepower. The fact that they have been so quiet in the transfer market further fuelled the talks of SMU rated as outsiders for this competition.

"My feeling is that Marko Lee has been influenced," Dezzo told e-rugbyTV.

"During his last declaration on Friday, we could see he was not feeling comfortable, he was looking for his words.

"That is why I ask for indulgence for him. Do not ruin his future."

"He is a victim and I believe we have to let him a little time to think."

Dezzo and Mark are very close friends. The imminent transfer to either NTU or NUS is definitely taking its toil on their friendship.

"He is like my best friend, a brother. I really don't want to face him in the upcoming IVP," Dezzo (*teary eyes) replied.

"NTU and NUS are both respected very much in the IVP. However, i do not agree to what they are trying to do, influencing the player." -an angry Dezzo exclaimed.

"I, on behalf of team SMU, declare that WE ( the 3 universities).... NOT SO TIGHT NOW. Goggles and helmets on... a typhoon is coming. WE are gonna layth the smackth down on ALL YOUR CANDY A****"..... (so much tension)

It seems hell will break loose soon between this 3 teams. May God bless the innocents.

Just last week, King Thiam was spotted scantily covered up in a white towel across his chest (Yes, we're sure everyone remembered that, especially Rebel R. For a clearer picture, not literally though, please visit our archived entries).

“There’s no need for me to explain myself. That picture was unclear and it wasn’t me!” King says with angst.

BUT NOW, e-rugby Exp0sed has discovered some seemingly disturbing information about the NTU team. One particular person within the team is into crossdressing (yesh, it’s a very unfortunate incident). Private collection of his pictures was unveiled at 2359 today. It has to be the juiciest and naughtiest piece of news to date. These pics are potentially eyebrow raising and ladies, don’t say we didn’t warn you…

Unfortunately, at the request of the crossdresser, we decided to hide his identity for now. Without further ado... here we go...

{Sunday, August 06, 2006 . e-rugby: Weekend Review Pt. 3}

Due to the lack of manpower to cover the match between BUCKS and SCC, e-rugby outsourced this match report to RONGFAQ.IAMSOGOOD.ORG

Here we go...

At 'hot as hell' Turf City, hardly any grass was seen on the pitch. It look more like a desert then a rugby field. From the warm up you can can see that SCC intend to hit it up with their forwards and create the space out wide for Superman Li RenCong to finish off the moves.

Sitting comfortably? In the tent and protected from the heat we waited for the much anticipated kick off. Finally the whistle was blown and the game was on its way. The early exchanges went the way of SCC and Superman was called to action much sooner than expected. From a cut pass by SCC incenter, Superman Li was able to stepped past his opposite marker and was flying down the touchline. But there is simply too many defenders for even the Superman to beat and eventually he was brought down by a certain ex-Super 12 player(duhh).

And in the tent we are also very fortunate to have with us Tong 'chest so big' Katek with us who provide us with much details on the strengths n weaknesses on both teams and on how their game plans should be played. Bryanboy Yik was also seen walking around shaking people hands as well.(who is he supporting anyway? heard that his best friend Leow was playing earlier on)

Eventually the heat took it toil on the SCC players and Bucks managed to put in 4 tries. Superman Li was seen trying to tackle everything that went his way but eventually he too was overcome by the immense task. The half ended 24-6 to bucks.

The second half started and now SCC decide to change their game plan as they r seen running the ball from their own try area. With help of former national player Hairul Naim , Li was sent flying thru the gaps on numerous occasions but the lack of support was to be their undoing. There was a moment when the ball was kick through and Li was seen closing down on the ball with the opposite full back out of position. It would seem to be the perfect opportunity for Li to score and turn the game around but as he picks up the ball but he failed to check his blind spot and was once again tackle by the ex-super 12 player. After another 2 tries which bring the score line to 36-6 to Bucks and the game ended.

The final score did not truly reflect how Superman Li played. With his performance, he will be giving the NTU selectors a headache in selection. Lionel Robinson still feels Bucks was lucky with their victory as he was drinking his 10th can of beer. He mentioned something about him not playing or else He will bring BUCKS to school. Beside Superman Li who played well, Daniel Marc Chow from rival SMU also have a storming game. Aaron Brown and Todd Feather both scored twice in the game and it seems that they are both gunning for a certain King Thiam and they are using the game as a warm up.

"... Do the Roc-Away. Now, lean back, lean back... "

Introducing... the ladies of NTU Touch. Exclusively for the readers of nturugbynews, we are proud to put the spotlight on our fair and lithe counterparts whose weekly runs at Turf City not only put their opponents gasping for air but also those at the sidelines.

In Part One of our exclusive highlight, we have not one but 2 of them for a short but definitely HOT interview. We speak to two of Jurong JC's alumni, Lay 'Chiong-ster' Kwan and Sari 'Sunblock' Syafidah.

"I give you my '04 Class Photo can?"

e-rugby: Hello ladies, there's been some talk that certain members of the NTU Rugby Team have been joining a few of your training sessions lately?

Sari: *Laughing* Yes, and they're really funny lah.

Lay: Ya, especially the Norman guy. I think he shouldn't be doing Accounting. Should go and take a Degree in Clown-ism or something.

e-rugby: er.. okay. Moving on, so Lay Kwan, any comments on why so many NTU guys seem to be so shy and tight-lipped whenever you're around?

Lay: Oh is it? *Eyebrows raised for added measure* Rubbish lah, I think it's because they were too shagged from our fitness drills to say anything.

e-rugby: Ah, I see, so you gals had a field day against them eh?

Sari: Actually they beat us 4-2 in one of the 'frenly' friendly. Daniel Thiam looked like he really wanted to trash us girls. Never give chance one. Scored 3 all by himself.

Lay: He was quite serious about the game too. So weird.

e-rugby: Yeah he's always like that. Very competitive. There was one time we played against Chao Yang Special School... okay, long story. That's another blog entry for another day. So are we likely to see an NTU Mixed Touch Team in the near future?

Sari: Yes, I hope so. The guys are really good with their hands and they're just a fun bunch to be around.

Lay: Definitely. Also I think they have a Touch 'Specialist' of some sort in their team. The Malay guy who is always running solo. Really looking forward to touch, er i mean, play touch with him.

e-rugby: Alright then, that wraps it up. Thanks again ladies!

Refresher says: 'oi why no post today?how can....letting the fans down man.'

e-rugby says: 'we would like to apologise to the faithful ntu blog readers. Due to the overwhelming response, we are currently seriously lacking in manpower in the publishing department. The Board sanctioned an emergency meeting to resolve this issue.'

Refresher says: 'How long will this problem lasts? Its getting nasty out there, people are demanding updates every 5 mins!'

e-rugby says: 'Unfortunately, its an issue that will take some time to settle. People have been ready to criticise but The Board of e-rugby haven't so far done anything they can be criticised for. Things can change in the future and we never know what to expect in rugby blogging, but in terms of the way the blog operates, things seem to have been going well. e-rugby would like to take this opportunity to do a shout out.CORRESPONDENTS WANTED. The new season is only just upon us and fans everywhere have already written off their own teams (smu, nus etc) or declared them champions (ntu etc). Here at e-rugby we are looking for a Correspondent who can take us on the rollercoaster rides of all the teams through the season. Please get in touch with us, you know who we are.'

Refresher says: 'I see...sorry for being so harsh just now. (*clicks). Hey!!! the tagboard is updated!!!'

e-rugby says: '.........'

For the fans, e-rugby quick updates:
SMU and NUS joined Forces. Reporters on duty happened to stumble across this exclusive news. SMU players were invited to join NUS for trainings. Rumours has it that the 2 powerhouse are going to combine and form a 7s team to take part in a Secret Competition in Malaysia. The suspects involved in the 'tapping' incident are Jonno 'dont think i am gay- but i like to see guys naked' Chen, Dezzo 'i'm F***** up' Wee and Amos 'The snubber and rumoured to be the Refresher as well' Siow. Will they actually join forces to take down NTU? is it possible? *fingers crossed

NUS is going to send out star winger Jonno '*same as above' Chen to recruit a dutch forward in amsterdam. but the poor dutch forward hates to fly no wonder they dont quite call him the flying dutchmen. With regards to the new signing, he will only arrive back with jono on bus from amsterdam on jun 07 meanwhile stay posted as they journey from amsterdam to bombay to shanghai to cambodian with a pitstop to bangkok then to KL then to JB then finally stopping at spore.

Little news from SMU, BUT our scouts reported that SMU is planning something BIG. NTU blog might be underthreat. NTU would like to assure all fans that we will take the necessary precautions to prevent any form of 'attacks'.
