It has been nearly three months into the academic term for the tertiary institutions, and Rugby-Net has decided to catch up with the man who gave NTU the brush-off and fellow club mates Thiam, Kiat and Qing the cold shoulder - Amos ‘The Man who Snubbed NTU’ Seow, on life after snubbing NTU.
Rugby-Net: “So how’s getting used to going back to school?”
Amos: “Man, it’s been rough. It’s really tough getting your mindset back to the books and getting down to studying again. I mean, who remembers how to study after NS?”
Rugby-Net: “We heard you’re doing Arts in SMU, enjoying the vicious world of textbooks and readings?”
Amos: “It’s crazy man. I’ve been like sleeping at four in the morning and waking up at seven to go to school. I could hardly get any sleep at all man.”
Amos: “There’re just too much readings to do, project datelines to meet, assignments to submit and all the blardy quizzes to prepare for.
(In the background) Thiam: “Eh me too. I sleep at four in the morning also…”
Amos: “Doing project as well?”
Thiam: “Nah… Playing DOTA with Yik and co.”
Amos: “Wtf…”
Rugby-Net: “Arts in SMU is tough eh? Even ‘Stormy’ Normy is having an easy time doing Accountancy in NTU… He’s been DOTA(ing) and sleeping most of the time. Rumour has it that he has been spending a lot of time chilling out with a certain Chad or Todd.”
Amos: “Aargh… It’s damn sian lah. I have to take seven modules this semester. It’s f**king crazy, I thought only engineers do this kind a sh*t. Give me a break man.”
(In the background) Kiat: “See lah. Told you already. Who ask you don’t come NTU sia?”
Amos: “How’d I know man? Sigh…”
Rugby-Net: “Well, it ain’t easy anywhere I suppose. But hope things do turn out better in the near future for you.”
Amos: “Yea thanks man. I appreciate it.”
Following concern on his well-being from the NTU correspondents, Amos’ decision to rebuff NTU for SMU may seem to be a step back. It could get even more interesting when he plays his first game against NTU in the upcoming IVP, not only because he will be up against some of his current club mates, but because he actually turned down an offer to join them.
