{Tuesday, September 12, 2006 . e-rugby: Suspected foul-play}

e-rugby investigators went thru a 24 hrs work shift to get to the bottom of NTU star winger ASH's motorbike accident.

e-rugby researchers compiled a detailed analysis.

Vehicle failure accounted for less than 3% of these motorcycle accidents, and most of those were single vehicle accidents where control was lost due to a puncture flat.

Fuel system leaks and spills were present in 62% of the motorcycle accidents in the post-crash phase. This represents an undue hazard for fire.

Vehicle defects related to accident causation are rare and likely to be due to deficient or defective maintenance.

Motorcycle riders between the ages of 16 and 24 are significantly overrepresented in accidents; motorcycle riders between the ages of 30 and 50 are significantly underrepresented. Although the majority of the accident-involved motorcycle riders are male (96%), the female motorcycles riders are significantly overrepresented in the accident data.

Lack of attention to the driving task is a common factor for the motorcyclist in an accident

However, according to the victim himself, he had only recently sent his bike for servicing. His tyres were only few months old. The chance of merely just a 'pure' accident seems highly unlikely.

"I sent my bike for sevicing only 2 days ago. Everything is fine. I still do not understand why it happened." admits ASH.

"I'm so light, its impossible that the bike couldnt take my weight. OH.... ASH did pillion Thiam yesterday. But thats only from hall 1 to hall 2, will that be the cause??" said Ms Chan

e-rugby investigators think otherwise,

"We believe theres some tampering done to ASH's bike. The gear chain and sprocket seem to been sawed. The tyres had a few clear and clean slashes, we believe its done by a swiss army pocket knife. The SRC winger is flying high at the moment in the league. COINCIDENTALLY, SRC will be playing against Bedok Kings this weekend. The outcome of that match will inevitably determine who will proceed to round 2. I BOLDLY suggest that it might be an inside job. It gotta be someone from NTU, who is playing for the KINGS. Well, its just our preliminary investigations."

To let the readers know who are the NTU players playing for Kings in Div 1,

Qing a.k.a Mr. Undroppable a.k.a Jelvin
AWESOME Kiat (just underwent surgery)
Adam 'Mat Solo' Chan (nursing a fractured pinky)

With the latter 2 being ruled out as potential suspects. We have only 1 prime suspect now. That is Qing. He is unable to be reached for comments at this point of time.
