{Friday, September 08, 2006 . e-rugby: NTU hails return of the King (Salsa King)}

"move your legs, feel the rhythm"

NTU have been boosted by the return of ex SAJC captain Kevin 'Salsa King'.

Salsa King has missed NTU's last week training becos he needed to attend an important seminar hosted by Salsa club in NTU. Rumours have it that Salsa King is merely checking out the club and might be contemplating to launching a campaign. That is, to run for presidency for the Salsa club.

Salsa King is now back in training, looking sharper and was spotted sharing his side stepping skills with some of his teammates.

" Imagine Tango. Feel the rhythm. Let it takes control of your body. Be mindless. Tango your way thru the defenses. Ah... Beautiful..."

Question from Stickman Gabriel,

"How to run agressively?"

Words of wisdom from Salsa King himself,

"Think of Samba. Feel the excitment. *demostrates (tap, 2,3,4 and turn! 2, 3, 4)"

However, Salsa King's return is tempered by the probable loss of explosive player Bryan Boy YIK. He is almost certain to miss out next week's training with a calf strain suffered from getting too excited from Dota-ing. As his 'hero' in dota was dying, Yik was too excited and jumped off his seat and manage to pull his calf in multiple areas. Seriousness of his injury is still unknown.

Roomie and caretaker Daniel 'Ah Huang' said,

"Yik is probably out with a calf injury, i'll take good care of him. Dun worry. I'm Brother Love remember??"

NTU confirmed that future NTU legend AWESOME Kiat will undergo surgery to cure a long-term ACL problem.

Kiat , who joined NTU from RJC for undisclosed fee on deadline day, will now be out of action for 6 months after opting to go under the knife to cure the torn ACL.

Kiat's absence means there is a real chance that new-look Flanker 'Botak' Darren will be given the chance to shine in attack and defence.

'Botak' Darren, former known as Brother Ho, will seized the opportunity to work on his fitness after missing the last trainings because of attending career talks.

Ah Gou is finally back after his long absence. Although he looks rather unfit and slow, He is now hoping to secure the services of a personal trainer in a bid to keep his weight down this season.

He revealed: "It was important for me to lose weight. I knew that and I will go home and work on it."

"Now it's my job to keep fit because unfortunately at the end of last season I got injured (clash of heads during training) and didn't play the first game."

"I gained weight because that is my body - if I don't train, I gain weight."

(i believe its the same for everyone else)

"So now I am happy that I am getting fit. I worked hard for it and now I have to stay fit until the end of the season. I have lost about 10 kg and I am talking to a Brazilian trainer who will help the medical staff here keep me fit all season."

"It won't affect my physical power. I did not want to lose any muscle, I was just working on losing the things that my body does not need."

Exciting times ahead for team NTU. Thats all for now. Enjoy your weekend.
