{Friday, July 28, 2006 . Rugby-Net: "NTU No. 14 is mine" says Aminurashid}

Reporters from Rugby-net were on their way to SPE to cover a NRC Div 2 match featuring past and present NTU players Aminurashid, Emery and Cliff. Despite the heavy downpour, the crowd could be heard cheering and stamping even 2 traffic lights before the stadium. Yes, our reporters were once again late.

Cliff and Aminurashid started the game for SRC against a youthful Blacks Team. Emery was missing from the stadium. According to our roving helicopter, he was spotted at NTU sports camp, swinging water bombs at girls, completely oblivious about the rugby match that he was supposed to be in. Looks like his passion for rugby is indeed waning.

Play was scrappy as both sides struggled to get used to the slippery ball. Aminurashid certainly lived up to his nick as "the guy who runs faster than people can say his name" as he showed AWESOME hands and speed, constantly a thorn in the flesh burning down the wings. His performance was certainly not missed by the NTU selectors who were overheard gushing over his every move. (Yes they were there too)

The half ended in a boring 3-3 draw, with the only other highlight coming from veteran Cliff, who put on a fantastic performance mooning the crowd with many jiggles when his name was chanted. This was in contrast of his match performance where he was spotted motionless in at least 5 instances for up to 3mins each time......NEXT TO THE WINGER.

In the 2nd half, Aminurashid continued his fine form with a good catch under pressure and seems to beat his opposite wingers at will. He even topped all this with an AWESOME display of raw speed by scoring his 2nd SRC try in as many matches at the corner of the try area. By then, the match was swinging towards SRC's favour and veteran Cliff even made a surging forward run towards the line, only for the ball to bounce off his jiggling jugs, much to the relief of the opposition. That was also his last involvement in the match, as he was substituted due to yet another motionless display at the wing.

Cliff was delirious after his first game in many months, with many jibberish attempts at speaking when reporters interviewed him. The only signs of response was when food, tulang, stingray were mentioned. On top of this, Rugby-net is releasing an exclusive conversation with his teammates.

"Are you all free on friday??Organise a barbeque I will surely come back to school...but I need someone to collect my Graduation certificate as school is too inconvenient for me. So how about the Friday BBQ??EYYY Friday leyyy...on boh" - veteran Cliff

The post match press conference saw Rugby-net reporters interviewing Aminurashid about his Man of the Match performance after yet another scintillating display of attacking rugby.

" As I said earlier, its quite a numb feeling as it has been years since I last scored a competitive try. As now I have finally broken the duck and established myself, it is time to make the NTU Number 14 slot my very own." A very confident Aminurashid replied.

This performance certainly sends a clear message out to the rest of the NTU wingers, Prakarsa, Qing, Emery and Zhongming to watch out. The last Rugby-net heard, Qing is already contemplating a move back into the In-centre position to avoid a head-on clash with the hottest rugby prospect in Boon Lay. Elsewhere, Prakarsa is said to be hiding in an unknown cave in Bali with Osama, Zhongming is staking outside Kee's office waiting for a reimbursement of his $200, and Emery still desperately filling up more water bombs to swing.
